Google has started rolling out its monthly security patch on Wednesday. This month’s release is timed to the arrival of the first patch for all supported Google Pixel phones following the arrival of the public build of Android 13.

There are numerous improvements included in this version for problems caused by the Android 13 release.

The patch will fix  the excessive battery drain brought on by specific wallpapers and resolve a problem wherein wireless charging would occasionally fail to activate.

A fault that periodically prevented some devices from connecting to Bluetooth, a bug that prevented some alerts from displaying correctly on the lock screen, and a patch for the fingerprint scanner are also fixed.

Pixel 4 (4 XL), 4a, 4a (5G), Pixel 5, 5a, Pixel 6, and 6 Pro are currently receiving this month’s update. According to Google, the Pixel 6a will get the September update later this month.

With the new Android 13, Google has said it comes with a fresh look and style that builds on Material You. Users can customise non-Google apps to match their phone’s wallpaper theme and colours, making the home screen more cohesive and unique to the style.
